| This blanket is knitted in an
ingenious color pattern from Barbara Walker's Second Treasury of
Knitting Patterns, Four-Color Blister Stitch, which uses no
stranding and no slip-stitches. I wanted the blanket to look sort of
"retro", and I think it does. I ran out of the brown
background color before it was big enough, so finished it off with a
seed-stitch stripe of each of the other colors. After this photo was
taken, the raw edges were encased in a two-sided crochet edging, so I
didn't have to weave in any ends. |
