Whirligig vest

This was my first fair isle project, and so much fun to knit. The yarns are exactly as specified in the pattern except I substituted MacAuslan lovat for J&S lovat. I wore the vest to Stitches West 2004, where I had the pleasure of running into the designer wearing his copy of it. Aren't the buttons perfect?
